Cold Rooms
In the old days, cold rooms were called snowfields. This was well with retaining walls, of small or large dimensions, with openings where snow was introduced, and ice was extracted. The purpose was to keep the ice even if the snow melted.
Many products need refrigeration including fruits, seafood, vegetables, meat, flowers…
A cold room is a warehouse where a specific temperature is artificially generated. It is generally designed to store products below the outside temperature.
A cold room is a logical solution for any facility which no longer finds standard refrigeration or freezer equipment to be sufficient, usually due to expansion or reliability issues, such as hotels, restaurants, airports, retails and many others.
